Why Partner With Us?
UL508A Control and Power Panel Certification
UL508A exists to ensure industrial control equipment is safe and reliable.
UL, known as Underwriters Laboratories, functions as an autonomous laboratory establishing safety benchmarks for products. Globally, UL collaborates with national and regional standards organizations, and within the United States, it holds accreditation from the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), bestowing upon it a credible authority in product testing.
Acquiring UL508A certification entails that manufacturers meticulously design, construct, and assess products against defined criteria before final release. Consequently, this requires all individual materials and components within an industrial control panel to undergo scrutiny for safety and reliability validation.
The ambit of UL508A standards encompasses industrial-use control panels operating at 1,000V or lower. The stipulated maximum ambient temperature is 104°F, unless exceptions are indicated.
Internally, the design necessitates adherence to specified requisites pertaining to:
- Enclosures
- Overcurrent protection
- Interconnects
- Motor drives
- Switches
- Terminal blocks
- Transformers
- Contactors
To ensure safe installation and usage, all electrical ratings and instructions must be directly displayed on the panel.
